Publications

Dr. Harris published her first book entitled "Two Faces: Health and Identity: A Black Woman's Guide to Health & Authenticity" in the fall of 2016 in collaboration with her good friend from grad school, Dr. Hamaria Crockett. The dynamic duo published a second book together entitled "Black Women & Singlehood: From Our Perspective" a year later. They also published a monograph in the Journal of Human Services entitled "Women of Color and the Affordable Care Act" in 2015.

Both ladies have several solo endeavors as well. Dr. Harris is the author of the books "The Love Experience", "Love: Motivation from Above & Within", Women of Color Spiritual Journey", and "Hello Beautiful!".

Dr. Crockett is the author of the books "The Purpose Theme", "Defining Your Authentic Self", and "The Secrets of a Career Consultant".

Dr. Harris is proud to present her baby cousin, Jacquita N. Jenkins, M.Ed. Ms. Jenkins published her first book "Max's First Day of Kindergarten" in February 2026. The two cousins are currently working on a joint project entitled "Cousins: The story of two generations of beautiful successful Black women".
